Team Black Pearl, consisting of Luis Pedro, Danny McNab, Jimmy Mikkelsen and Rodolfo Muñoz, took the “Best Ball” grand prize at the second annual Roatan Rotary Club golf tournament at the Black Pearl Golf Club at Pristine Bay March 25.

The 80 participants paid $125 each to play – or $20 to just observe, eat and drink. Proceeds went to the Rotary General Fund and will be used to renovate public school bathrooms on the island.

Edward Ake, Rotary Club president, said the tournament brought in $15,000 through registration fees, raffle tickets and beer sales, up from $12,000 last year.

Team Slice & Dice, comprising Ilias Scott, Alvaro Duron, Daniel Batres and Miguel Flores, won the Four-Ball Scramble competition. [/private]
