The Roatan Kumgang taekwondo school hosted 87 fighters from throughout the region for the fourth Universal Taekwondo Federation Cup (Copa UTF) at Mall Megaplaza in French Harbour June 8-10.

The Island Tigers from French Harbour placed first in the team competition, in which seven teams competed, including the sub-18 Honduran National Team. Other participating teams were host Kumgang Roatan, Kumgang San Pedro Sula, Jovenes Heroes, Honduras Idol and Angeles del Taekwondo from Morelos, Mexico.

In individual competition, José Luis Eucedo of Roatan Kumgang placed first in the boys under-18 division, defeating a representative of the Honduran National Team, and María Eva Rivero of Island Tigers won the girls under-14 competition. [/private]
